Glenn R. Carroll, PhD is the Adams Distinguished Professor of Management and Professor of Sociology (by courtesy) in the School of Humanities and Sciences at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. His research addresses questions about organizations, strategic management, and industrial evolution. His most recent project studies socially constructed authenticity — how consumers and others value authenticity, how consumers search for authenticity in products and services, and how consumers interpret organizational behavior and structure as reflecting authenticity.
